GEOID was founded in 1986 as a small business focusing on onshore and offshore surveying expertise and precise positioning. In 2001, GEOID joined the international Fugro Group, world leader in the provision of geoscience, geotechnical and surveying services. With approximately 13,500 employees in more than fifty countries, Fugro specializes in the collection, processing and interpretation of data related to the earth’s surface and soil composition and provides advice based on the results. Fugro is listed on Euronext Amsterdam and is included in the AEX-Index.

Fugro Geoid is headquartered in the Montpellier metro area, in Southern France, but also works closely with Fugro offices in Africa for local operational and business support.
